Sisters mark Golden Jubilee of profession

Eight FSP Sisters namely, Sr. Bernardina Aguillon, Sr. Carmela Braganza, Sr. Giacomina Cabucos, Sr. Aloysia Cha (Korean Sister assigned in the Philippines), Sr. Caridad Ebon, Sr. Linda Ledesma (Missionary in Australia), Sr. Ester Sanchez and Sr. Dorothy Tamisen celebrated their Golden Jubilee of Religious Profession at the Queen of the Apostles Sanctuary on June 24, feast of St. John de Baptist.

Around 18 priests concelebrated with Fr. Andres Inting, SSP who was the main presider and homilist. Concelebrating priests include Fr. Jose Aripio, Provincial Superior of the Society of St. Paul; SSP priests, Fr. Chan Park and Fr. Byung Han, Korean Priests; Fr. Marvin S. Mejia, CBCP secretary general, priest-relatives of the jubilarians and invited priests.

Fr. Inting joined the Jubilarians in thanking God for the gift of vocation. During his homily he emphasized how important it is for Consecrated Religious to be grateful to God for who they really are, as Religious are icons of Christ and of the Church. He told the Jubilarians to continue to respond to the challenges of the present time and the future with the same zeal they had 50 years ago.

Sr. Carmela sung the Responsorial Psalm which she herself composed. She also delivered some words of thanks on behalf of the group. The Golden Jubilarians rendered their thanksgiving song titled “Forever”. Simple agape followed after the Mass with the Jubilarians' families, relatives, friends and guests.
